Ozone therapy is an oxidative modality and an effective therapeutic method that helps increase oxygenation, detoxification and immune stimulation. Ozone is a blue colored form of oxygen, and unlike regular oxygen, is composed of three oxygen atoms instead of two. It is the addition of the third oxygen atom that makes ozone “supercharged” oxygen, and gives it all of its remarkable medical properties.
Today, medical ozone therapy is common throughout European medical clinics, and its use has gradually been spreading in America over the last 25 years. This biological therapy is often administered for all infectious diseases as well as chronic conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, fibromyalgia, heart disease, chronic Lyme and many more The most common method of administration is intravenously (major autochemotherapy or 10 pass), but may also be administered through intramuscular injection, intra-articular injections, specific tissue injections, local application to external body surfaces (transparent teflon bags), rectal insufflation, or vaginal insufflation.
We are the best ozone clinic in Milwaukee that offers ozone therapy that includes ozone injections are administered for just about every joint in our bodies, including elbows (tennis elbow), knees and hips, shoulders (rotator cuffs), ankles and fingers (arthritis), wrists (carpal tunnel), and essentially all cartilage and tendons found in the body. Ozone therapy through intravenous administration is utilized through a machine, where blood is taken intravenously and passed through the specialized machine that infuses ozone into the blood at any given amount.
At Zuza’s Way Integrative Care we offer Ozone therapy as a part of our holistic health care program. Being a reliable clinic in Milwaukee, we work towards making a healthy and stress-free society. Ozone therapy in Milwaukee is often used to cure infectious and chronic health issues.
What Is Prolozone Therapy?
Prolozone Therapy is a non-surgical procedure to eliminate or drastically reduce pain by facilitating the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Prolozone derived from the Latin word “prolix”, which means to proliferate, regenerate and rebuild. Prolozone Therapy is so named because the treatment uses ozone to cause the proliferation, regeneration and rebuilding of new ligament and cartilage tissue in an area where they have become weak.
Ligaments are the structural “rubber bands” that hold the bones, joints and intervertebral discs together. They can become weak or injured from injury, excessive use or surgery, and often times do not heal back to their original strength and tightness. When this happens, it puts a strain on the area that the ligaments are supposed to be holding together, resulting in pain and arthritis in the bones, discs and joints. Ligaments have many nerve endings which can provide an additional source of pain.
How Does Prolozone Therapy Work?
Prolozone Therapy involves the injection of ozone in and around ligaments where they attach to the bone. The injected ozone increases blood supply and flow of healing nutrients. It also stimulates deposition and activity of cells called fibroblasts and chondroblasts. Ozone is a naturally-occurring, highly reactive molecule consisting of three atoms of oxygen. Because ozone is highly reactive, it is able to stimulate the fibroblastic and chondroblastic cellular activity, thus enhancing the repair cycle by increasing available oxygen and nutrients to the new forming tissue.
Most Common Problems remedied with Prolozone Therapy
- Back and neck pain – with or without degenerative disc disease
- Shoulder pain from rotator cuff injuries
- Osteoarthritis – hips, knees and spine
- Arthritic joints
- Tennis Elbow
- Sports injuries
- Carpal Tunnel
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Sprains and strains
Results to Expect
The response to treatment varies from individual to individual and depends upon one’s healing ability and severity of injury. Some people need only one or two treatments, while others may need six or more. It may take more injections in those that have had severe pain for many years. Each situation requires its own protocol.
Prolozone Therapy is a safe, natural and often permanent treatment. All the research indicates there are no side effects when properly implemented.
10 PASS OZONE TREATMENT
One 10-pass treatment is about the equivalent of ten hyperbaric MAH treatments, but is different from MAH in that it uses higher concentrations of ozone. The blood draw-infusion process is done ten times; hence the term “10 pass” and takes 1-2 hours. The amount of ozone supplied to the body is about 140,000 ug, and heparin is given to the patient to keep the blood from coagulating. By comparison, a hyperbaric Major Autohemotherapy (MAH) provides about 6,000 ug of ozone, and a regular ozone IV only 3,000 ug of ozone. This means that ten-pass ozone supplies nearly 50 times the amount of ozone of a regular intravenous ozone treatment.
In summary, because the 10-pass method of ozone administration provides a greater amount of ozone to the body, in a shorter amount of time, it better saturates the red blood cells with oxygen, which allows it to penetrate deeper and greater areas of the body.
The 10-pass is a very powerful and safe treatment. It is used to treat infections, inflammation, auto-immune disease, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and multiple neurologic conditions including Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke, brain and spinal cord inflammation of various types. It can potentially treat Lyme disease, shingles, recurrent herpes simplex, influenza and pneumonia.
Other uses of different modalities of Ozone:
- Wound healing
- Ear insufflation for ear infections
- Rectal Insufflation for IBS, gut intestinal permeability and for those unable to to IV Ozone.
- Chemical Toxicity
- Chemical Sensitivity
- Circulation Challenges.
- Chronic Fatigue
- Cancer Support
- Chronic Lyme
